About marrakech-food-tour.com
marrakech-food-tour.com is an independent guide to the bookable street food tours and cooking classes in Marrakech. This page explains who runs it, how it is financed and where the data comes from.
Who is behind this site
marrakech-food-tour.com is run by Patrick Kühne, an independent travel publisher based in Markkleeberg near Leipzig, Germany. He builds and maintains a small portfolio of guides to attraction tickets and day tours. There is no agency and no rotating editorial team behind this site: one person researches, writes and updates the pages and answers the e-mails.
What this site does
A food tour in Marrakech can mean a walk with a dozen strangers from Café de France, a group of eight starting at Bab Doukkala, a private evening with dinner on the square or a morning at a market followed by a cooking class. We set out what separates them: how many people share the guide, what you eat and whether there is a sit-down dinner, which diets are catered for, and whether the route stops at a herbalist or a shop. We are not a booking agent; every reservation happens on the booking platform.
How we earn money
When you book through one of our links, the platform pays us a commission. Your price stays the same: the commission comes out of the platform’s margin. No contract obliges us to favour a particular operator, and our comparisons are ordered by number of reviews, not by what pays us best.
Where our data comes from
Prices, ratings and review counts are pulled from our booking partner’s API and refreshed automatically several times a day. Meeting points, group sizes, menus, diet options and inclusions come from the operators’ product pages and are re-checked regularly. Found something out of date? Write to us and we will correct it.
What we are not
We do not run any tours or classes and we are not affiliated with any operator mentioned on this site. We cannot vouch for the hygiene of any stall or kitchen; the guides choose the stops. For binding information on allergies, pickup and Ramadan schedules, the operator’s own channels always take precedence.
